Rix.GG finish runners-up in first Wild Rift Origin Series Championship

UK esports organisation Rix.GG came close to an historic win in the early days of League of Legends: Wild Rift esports. The team finished runners-up in the first EMEA Wild Rift Origin Series Championship in Stockholm, Sweden, on the weekend, losing 3-1 to Team Queso in the final. Rix didn’t have the greatest group stage, finishing fourth with one win and three losses, but they beat Unicorns of Love 3-0 in their semi-final to progress to the grand final against Queso. Wild Rift: Origin Series Championship casting talent announced as UK org Rix.GG signs No Team No Talent roster

Riot Games has announced the broadcast talent line-up for the Wild Rift: Origin Series Championship taking place between September 24th and 26th 2021. The event will see some of the best Wild Rift players EMEA/MENA battle it out in Stockholm for the chance to be crowned the Wild Rift: Origin Series champions, as well as taking home the lion’s share of €150,000. A mix of experienced British esports casters have joined the upcoming League of Legends: Wild Rift Origin Series broadcast talent line-up. And there’s three UK teams involved: Team Future, Reason Gaming and Resolve. Tridd will host the Riot Games tournament for the Europe, CIS, Turkey and MENA regions, which features a €300,000 prize pool. League of Legends: Wild Rift launched on mobile devices late last year in the UK and other regions, and now the esports side of the game is ramping up. Riot Games has announced the League of Legends: Wild Rift: Origin Series, a new tournament for Europe and MENA regions featuring a €300,000 prize pool.
