Here’s Your E3 2021 Schedule, From Ubisoft To Nintendo

As fan registration opens for access to the E3 2021 portal and app, organizers have released a tentative schedule of virtual press conferences for the four-day event, starting with Ubisoft and Gearbox Entertainment on Saturday, June 12, and ending with Nintendo on Tuesday, June 15. The four-day show, hosted by Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez, Jacki Jing, and Greg Miller, will feature panels, game demos, celebrity cameos, and other means of filling the time, punctuated by press conferences and presentations by major publishers. Following the cancelation of 2020's event due to covid-19, and much rumor and speculation regarding this year’s iteration of what was once the most important video game trade show in the world, the Entertainment Software Association today announces E3 2021, a free all-digital event running June 12 through 15. Sorry Take-Two, it looks like EA are buying Codemasters now

Hope you’re ready for some big business-y numbers on this fine Monday afternoon. Last month, Take-Two Interactive announced they had plans to buy Dirt developer Codemasters for a whopping £759 million. However, that doesn’t seem to be happening anymore. Other gaming megacorp, Electronic Arts, are ready to do the buying instead. They’ve swooped in with a cheeky £914 million offer for Codemasters, who are expected to complete the deal with EA early next year – unless some other giant publisher kicks in the door throwing even more cash everywhere, I suppose. Take-Two have begun talks to buy Dirt developers Codemasters

Hold up, don’t go racing off into the weekend just yet. The developers of Dirt 5, which just released yesterday, say they’ve received a possible buyout offer from Take-Two Interactive who own the creators of other sporty games 2K and Rockstar Games as well.
