Tundra signs more UK talent including its first streamers and new Fortnite player

London-based esports organisation Tundra Esports has made a string of signings over the past few days, including its first content creators. First up, the org has signed Jorhdys, a Scottish Rocket League and Valorant content creator who has a combined social following of more than 35,000. James, known for his work in CSGO, Valorant and fighting games and ODPixel, who is well-known in Dota 2 esports, have joined the #StreamersWithUkraine marathon which is being organised by Ukrainian tournament organiser WePlay, app creator Reface and streamer income/audience platform Organization.GG. New Streamer Awards Show Designs Trophy After Pepe The Frog For Some Reason

The Streamer Awards, an awards ceremony dedicated to livestreaming (and not to be confused with The Streamy Awards), hosted its first-ever show on March 12. Founded and organized by cooking streamer QTCinderella, the celebration pulled in 380,000 concurrent viewers, as big-name broadcasters like Hasanabi and Pokimane made appearances to pick up their golden trophies. However, many weren’t happy with the event for one particular reason: The trophy resembles Pepe the Frog.

UK and Ireland content creators were recognised at the 2022 Streamer Awards this weekend, with TommyInnit and Jacksepticeye picking up awards. British streamer TommyInnit, one of the fastest-growing Twitch streamers of last year, was awarded Best Minecraft streamer, while Irish streamer Jacksepticeye won Best Philanthropic Streamer, awarded for contributing to philanthropic causes by hosting charity streams, events, spreading awareness and other such initiatives. The fake account @CNNUKR, which has now been banned by Twitter, attempted to fool people into believing it’s a ‘CNN Ukraine’ account. It published a tweet saying Bernie (a false name used next to Jordie’s picture) is an activist who was ‘the first American casualty of the Ukraine crisis’.
