UK orgs Endpoint and SMPR qualify for RLCS Fall Major after facing off in EU Regional Event 3 grand final

It’s been a fantastic weekend for UK esports organisations Endpoint and SMPR who have both qualified for the 2021-22 Rocket League Fall Major. Not only did they finish first and fourth in the RLCS EU Fall Rankings respectively, after accruing points in the three regionals, but they also reached the final of the EU Regional Event 3 this weekend. Endpoint defeated SMPR 4-2 and 4-3 in the grand final, giving them their second EU Regional Event win – after Endpoint won the first RLCS European Fall Open last month. Semper Fortis Esports move into Hearthstone and NFT game Axie Infinity, launch new ‘play-to-earn’ division

UK esports organisation Semper Fortis Esports PLC have announced their entry into Hearthstone and NFT video game Axie Infinity. The company’s esports team, SMPR, have signed Russian player Aleksei ‘Iner’ Bakumenko to compete in both games for the upcoming season. The player has signed a three-month contract with an option to renew for an additional six months thereafter. Iner will also receive an annual salary and performance-based incentives. Semper Fortis moves into FIFA 22 with UK players as EA announces expanded esports program

UK esports organisation Semper Fortis (SMPR) Esports has moved into FIFA after signing UK players Jas Singh and Mitch. UK orgs to take part in new $100,000 Rocket League WePlay Esports Invitational

WePlay Holding has announced its first Rocket League tournament, launched with the support of Psyonix, and a couple of UK esports organisations are participating. The WePlay Esports Invitational tournament will take place online from September 16th to 19th 2021 featuring a total prize pool of $100,000. From the UK, Guild Esports, who recently signed the Young STEM Personality of the Year as an ambassador, and Semper Esports, who who recently rebranded from Top Blokes, will be taking part. Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin joins new UK esports org Semper Fortis as ambassador

English professional footballer Dominic Calvert-Lewin has made his first move into esports as an ambassador for Semper Fortis Esports, a new UK-based organisation. Semper Fortis listed on the Aquis Stock Exchange in April, with £2.6m raised, and Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell is on board as a non-executive director. Atari co-founder joins Sheffield-based esports business Semper Fortis ahead of stock exchange float, aims to ‘strengthen esports in the UK’ after picking up UK Rocket League team

Semper Fortis Esports PLC, an emerging esports business based in Sheffield, UK, has Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell (pictured) on board as a non-executive director. The company said it will create and manage pro teams, work on projects with orgs, players and celebrities, offer consultancy services, run an accelerator programme for esports and gaming entrepreneurs, as well as bolster the industry through technologies including AR, VR, machine learning, blockchain and data analytics.
