It’s been a busy week for UK Rocket League, with successes at the collegiate level and also a busy transfer window for pro UK Rocket League teams – we’ve rounded up the news here. Portsmouth Paladins win EURC 2022 First off, university teams Portsmouth Paladins from the University of Portsmouth and Keele Krakens from Keele University have qualified for the 2022 Collegiate Rocket League World Championship. They qualified via the European University Rocketeers’ Championship, with Keele finishing third and Portsmouth Paladins winning the entire tournament after beating Berlin Phoenix in the final. Tundra signs more UK talent including its first streamers and new Fortnite player

London-based esports organisation Tundra Esports has made a string of signings over the past few days, including its first content creators. First up, the org has signed Jorhdys, a Scottish Rocket League and Valorant content creator who has a combined social following of more than 35,000. There’s now a Rocket League RLCS version of Wordle – with a twist

Another day, another variant of the popular online word puzzle game Wordle in esports – but this Rocket League one is different.  It asks users to guess the RLCS mystery player in seven attempts or less. But rather than just including the word, with a correct guess making a specific letter turn yellow (or green if it’s also in the right place within the word), this one also shows the player’s nationality, organisation and the region they represented at a LAN event (the most recent being the RLCS Winter Major). Blasters beat Wolves to win Lenovo Regions Rocket League tournament, representing Wales

A Rocket League team known as Blasters have won the Lenovo Regions Rocket League tournament this evening, beating Wolves in the grand final. Blasters (aka Blaster 03, representing Wales), beat Wolves Esports who were representing England in the competition. Wolves were a last-minute addition after GigaGuys dropped out. While GigaGuys forfeited their spot in the grand finals, they still received the £1,000 for winning the regional final. Overall, the tournament had a £10,000 prize pool, with Blasters receiving £3,000 for finishing first-place and Wolves taking home £1,500 in second place. Lenovo Regions Rocket League tournament kicks off for UK and Ireland players

Lenovo Legion, the gaming brand of PC giant Lenovo, has launched an online-only Rocket League tournament for players in the UK and Ireland with a £10,000 prize pool. Lenovo Regions will feature four online qualifiers, the first of which starts on February 12th from 6pm GMT for Ireland residents. Players can choose which region to represent and can join multiple qualifiers if they wish (unless they’ve already qualified for the regional finals).
