Another action-packed Epic.LAN event took place last weekend at the Kettering Conference Centre, with esports teams and gamers in the UK joining up to play together. In terms of the esports tournaments this time around, Valorant, CSGO and StarCraft 2 were the main competitions that took place, plus there were also a series of fun tournaments in F1 2020, Fall Guys, Uno and Mortal Kombat 11, as well as the classic pub quiz of course. NSE Spring 2021 Finals Roundup: Warwick crowned NSE’s UK Esports University of the Year for third year in a row

Last weekend saw the grand finals for the Spring Season of UK university league NSE (National Student Esports) play out, as top university sides from across the country went head-to-head, Jake Nordland reports. NSE’s 2020/21 season saw more than 1,700 teams from 100 universities across the UK – the highest participation in NSE’s history. £6,800 in prize money was claimed during the spring season as the UK’s best battled it out live on NSE’s Twitch channel. NUEL Spring 2021 grand finals roundup: Which UK university teams won?

The grand finals for the spring season of UK university league NUEL concluded between March 28th and April 2nd, after 15 weeks of competition. As the culmination of a season with a £25,000 prize pool, the action took place on NUEL’s Twitch stream and was co-hosted by almost 30 student content creators from the university esports community. Jake Nordland rounds up the winners across eight different titles, as 69 students of NUEL’s 6,500 student participants faced off in the grand finals.
