Ubisoft has announced a new mobile FPS for iOS and Andoid devices, named Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Mobile, amidst reports it is also working on a separate battle royale shooter. Rainbow Six mobile announced Led by a new and dedicated team at Ubisoft Montreal, Rainbow Six Mobile aims to ‘deliver a true Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege experience, where tactical gameplay meets fast-paced action’. It found, unsurprisingly, that stress, sleep problems, burnout and social phobia anxiety may all adversely impact esports players’ mental health. The study – carried out by researchers from the University of Chichester in collaboration with the University of Winchester and King’s College London – surveyed 313 student esports players who play either CSGO, Valorant or Rainbow Six Siege….

Rainbow Six Siege Northern Premier League announced: Ubisoft bridges UK, Ireland and Nordics for new €25,000 esports competition

Ubisoft has today announced that the UK Ireland Nationals (UKIN) and Nordic Championship esports leagues will combine to create the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Northern Premier League. This new revamped league will gather the best players and teams from both UKIN and Nordic local scenes to compete in a new competition with a €25,000 prize pool. The Northern Premier League will have 10 teams compete across nine weeks from April 19th to end of August 2022. UK Rainbow Six Siege pro players have made some moves to new organisations, with Jack ‘Doki’ Robertson (pictured) joining G2 Esports, and Jordan ‘Kayak’ Morley leaving G2 for Navi. Doki himself was most recently with Navi, who he joined almost three years ago. Prior to that, he had stints with UK esports organisations Vexed Gaming and MNM Gaming. Doki said he was thrilled to join the European esports organisation. Update (February 28th 2022): An image of US streamer WingsOfRedemption, aka Jordie Jordan, has once again been used in a tweet from a fake CNN Twitter account, which has this time tricked a Russian diplomat and British politician George Galloway. The fake account @CNNUKR, which has now been banned by Twitter, attempted to fool people into believing it’s a ‘CNN Ukraine’ account. It published a tweet saying Bernie (a false name used next to Jordie’s picture) is an activist who was ‘the first American casualty of the Ukraine crisis’. Ubisoft has announced that its Season 2022 roadmap of international events for Siege will include a major in August in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a country where LGBTQ+ people are criminalised with serious life-threatening consequences. The Rainbow Six Siege Invitational playoffs have begun, the UK teams are out and it’s the end of the Cinderella Story for MNM Gaming in particular. All three teams with UK talent – MNM, Navi and Rogue – have been knocked out of the Six Invitational 2022 in the playoff stage. UK esports organisation Tenstar have won the Rainbow Six Siege UK & Ireland Nationals (UKIN) Rainbow Rumble. They defeated Looking For Org 3-0 in the final on the weekend to take the £7,500 top prize, with the runners-up leaving with £5,500. Tenstar and Looking For Org have also separately qualified for Division 1 of the next main UKIN league for 2022, after beating Into the Breach and JLingz Esports respectively in the Premier Division playoffs.
