Streamers divided over #ADayOffTwitch movement aiming to end hate raids, UK streamer calls out Asmongold for criticising protest

A new protest aiming to end hate raids on Twitch is causing a rift between some streamers who are backing the movement and those who aren’t. #ADayOffTwitch is encouraging creators to not stream and viewers not to watch Twitch on Wednesday September 1st 2021. The idea is to get Twitch to take note and better clamp down on ‘hate raids’ – what’s described as groups of viewers flooding a streamer’s chat with malicious, hateful or racist abuse, often using dummy or bot accounts. Echo wins latest WoW Race to World First, becomes first guild to clear Mythic Sanctum of Domination raid without a single player dying

European World of Warcraft guild, Echo, has become the first in the world to clear the Mythic Sanctum of Domination raid in World of Warcraft today. They defeated Sylvanas Windrunner, the final boss of the new raid in WoW’s Shadowlands expansion, to win the latest Race to World First. Not only that, but they did it without a single player dying. Several other guilds have defeated nine of the ten bosses, including NA guild Complexity Limit, UK org Method, Pieces and BDGG, and it’s expected that Complexity Limit will take second place.
