UK esports organisation Team Norse Thunder are in the running for an award in a UK-wide business competition. The org are up for the StartUp Awards’ Social Enterprise Award, a category that recognises “new businesses that give back, enrich communities, and make a contribution to wider society”. The StartUp Awards consists of multiple regions, including London, the South West, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and more. UK esports organisation Into the Breach have signed UK CSGO pro player Owen ‘smooya’ Butterfield on a one-month contract. UK esports organisation Coalesce have told Esports News UK about their ambitions with their newly announced CSGO roster for 2022. Coalesce announced the new roster a few days ago, which includes three Swedish players – Robiin (who has played for Endpoint in the past, Mann3n (who joins from NiP’s academy team) and Jackinho (who was most recently with Fnatic). The roster also features Spanish player Sausol, who joins from Mad Lions, and UK player Thomas, who has signed from Endpoint. Tundra signs former OG player Saksa to complete Dota 2 roster and names new captain following Fata’s departure

London-based esports organisation Tundra has today revealed their new Dota 2 player: North Macedonian Martin ‘Saksa’ Sazdov (pictured). Saksa’s arrival completes Tundra’s finalised Dota 2 roster following the departure of Adrian ‘Fata’ Trinks. The German player was kicked from the team last week due to Tundra wanting to ensure “the best possible chemistry to improve our performance this year”. As Fata was team captain, Tundra has now moved Jingjun ‘Sneyking’ Wu to position five and given him the mantle of team captain going forwards. Tundra yoinks Yonk roster to enter Valorant with former Guild, Vitality and Alliance players, plus UK coaching staff including a two-time LCS winner

Tundra, the London-based esports organisation housing Dota 2, Fortnite and FIFA talent, have announced their entrance into Valorant with the acquisition of Yonk. The up-and-coming Valorant team was created in December 2021 by Swedish players Yacine ‘Yacine’ Lahgmari and Malkom ‘bonkar’ Rench (formerly of fellow UK esports organisation Guild Esports). They attracted other well-known players including Vilius ‘Krea6on’ Malinauskas from Alliance and Ouali ‘m4china’ Manset from Team Vitality, as well as Danish former CSGO player Nichlas ‘Nille’ Busk. Update (January 13th 2022): UK esports organisation Into the Breach have qualified for the ESL Challenger League (Season 40) in CSGO, with an all-UK roster. The ESL Challenger League was formerly known as ESEA Premier. The news comes after ESL Gaming made a bunch of big structural changes for the ESL Pro Tour in 2022. It’s been a busy start to 2022 for UK esports organisation Into the Breach (ITB), who have made a number of announcements in a matter of days. UK Trackmania player Pac re-signs with MNM Gaming after TMGL Fall 2021 victory

Trackmania champion Thomas ‘Pac’ Cole has re-signed with UK-based esports organisation MNM Gaming for 2022, after another successful year in the game. The UK player won the €16,550 TMGL Fall 2021 grand final on December 19th 2021, picking up €4,550 in prize money. He beat BDS’ Affi and GameWard’s Gwen, who finished second and third in the final respectively. Gwen finished first in the Steps stage of the tournament, with Pac seventh.
