While Halo Infinite doesn’t officially launch until December, surprise! The FPS’s full multiplayer launched today into open beta, though it has all the maps and modes, it is the official start of the first season, and all progress will carry over, so basically it’s out now, just might be a bit wonky. You know, I was pretty disappointed that this weekend’s Battlefield 2042 beta didn’t have wingsuits. It’s been one of the main things I’m looking forward to, leaping from buildings and gliding at unsuspecting foes, so it was sad that we didn’t get to try it out. However, as I played, I realised that some players didn’t seem to need wingsuits to get themselves off of the ground: they simply needed to die in a janky vehicle accident instead. Read more

Ahead of the multiplayer open beta test starting this week, you can now preload the Battlefield 2042 client to be ready as soon as war breaks out. The BF2042 open beta starts Friday, though pre-orderers and EA Play members will get early access from Wednesday. Capcom, bless their hearts, really like the idea of Resident Evil multiplayer. They keep making multiplayer spin-off games and putting multiplayer modes into singleplayer games, even if few players are as enthusiastic about them as Capcom. The upcoming Resident Evil Village will have a multiplayer mode too, Resident Evil Re:Verse, and you can try that from tonight in a free open beta, which is now preloading.
