I hate most game merch, but apparently I must buy all the plushies

Little fluffy stuffed friends exert a strange and unknowable power over me. These days we only occasionally get offered free stuff as part of our jobs, because we are not YouTubers or Twitch streamers. When I first started websites would get sent a lot of stuff – you know, statuettes and toys and doodads. I don’t like these things, and I always wished PRs sent me cake instead. Neither thing would make me like the game more, but at least I can eat cake, and the same cannot be said for a figurine of some kind of big-titted space samurai…

And I was like, “Sure!” and toddled off to have a look. I was delighted! A host of new official Rainbow Six Siege clothing has launched, featuring T-shirts, hoodies and more. Italian sportswear brand Kappa, and Ubisoft, developer and publisher of the video game Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, have announced the launch of a capsule collection for winter 2022. The agreement was brokered by Ubisoft’s licensing agency IMG. The two brands have teamed up to offer an ‘exclusive collection that blends contemporary fashion with the gaming world, while integrating the Rainbow Six Siege DNA into these iconic products’. Riot Games has revealed the 2021 League of Legends ranked rewards for season 11 – and Blitzcrank is fired up and ready to serve with this year’s victorious skin. The Blitzcrank victorious skin will be awarded to players who have reached gold elo and above this year, in either solo/due queue or flex queue, and will launch with patch 11.22. Players have until November 15th at 11.59pm in their local server’s timezone to attain rewards for this season, which will be distributed within four weeks after the season’s end, Riot confirmed in its ranked rewards 2021 post. UK-based esports organisation Guild Esports has announced the launch of its official pro player jersey, which has divided opinion in the esports community.
