McLaren Shadow reveals 2021 driver line-up including Welsh sim racer Josh Idowu

British motor racing brand McLaren has drafted fresh F1 esports talent for its McLaren Shadow gaming arm. The sim racing roster for the upcoming 2021 F1 Esports Series will consist of Welsh racer Josh Idowu, Hungarian racer Dani Bereznay and Iranian racer Bari Boroumand. They have joined the team to represent Shadow throughout the 2021 season, which gets underway later this year. This first team line-up will have access to the recently-launched McLaren Shadow Studio, a new esports and gaming facility at McLaren Technology Centre that will be used by the new-look team for training bootcamps. McLaren Racing launches McLaren Shadow Studio to support esports growth, promises ‘exciting projects’ in the works

British motor racing team McLaren Racing has announced the launch of its new gaming facility: McLaren Shadow Studio. This will be based at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, serving as an activity hub and space for the McLaren Shadow esports team, as well as McLaren Shadow ambassadors to train, race and produce content. McLaren entered esports in 2017 to explore the performance opportunities that exist at the intersection of gaming and real-world racing.
