LDN UTD win Summer 2021 League of Legends UKEL

LDN UTD turned around a 0-1 deficit to win the League of Legends UKEL grand final 3-1 against NOX Esports today. Game one saw NOX top-laner ArcaneTeddy run rampant, going 10/0/1 as Irelia, helping his side take the mountain soul and finish the game in half an hour. epic.LAN epic33 esports winners recap: Org-less team NoPoaching takes first place in Valorant

Last weekend the latest epic.LAN took place – a hybrid event featuring a mix of online elements plus a physical venue. Dom Sacco provides a quick recap of the esports winners. Epic33 took place from July 1st to 4th 2021 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Coventry, and as usual, a number of esports tournaments got underway. There were three main tournaments – in Valorant, CSGO and StarCraft 2 – plus a number of community tournaments in the likes of F1, Fall Guys, Uno, Brawlhalla and more. British Esports Student Championships winners revealed, including Farnborough Sixth Form College’s undefeated Overwatch team

Six teams have been crowned winners of the 2020/21 British Esports Student Championships LAN finals, which were held at the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies in Nottingham yesterday. This is a tournament series for students aged 12+ in schools and colleges across the UK, consisting of League of Legends, Overwatch and Rocket League championships. The in-person event featured six finals, including a Division 1 and Division 2 final for each of the three esports.  The finals were played on stage in front of a crowd of around 100 people in an all-day event at Confetti’s venue. Guild Esports Rocket League team wins RLCS X Spring European Regional

UK-based organisation Guild Esports has won its second major trophy, after its Rocket League team achieved first-place in the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) EU Spring Regional. This took place on April 15th to 18th 2021 and saw Guild Esports’ Rocket League players Thomas ‘ThO’ Binkhorst, Joseph ‘Noly’ Kidd and David ‘Deevo’ Morrow secure first place. They defeated Aether in the finals (who also featured UK player eekso), with a continuous peak Sunday broadcast of over 100,000 viewers on Twitch. NSE Spring 2021 Finals Roundup: Warwick crowned NSE’s UK Esports University of the Year for third year in a row

Last weekend saw the grand finals for the Spring Season of UK university league NSE (National Student Esports) play out, as top university sides from across the country went head-to-head, Jake Nordland reports. NSE’s 2020/21 season saw more than 1,700 teams from 100 universities across the UK – the highest participation in NSE’s history. £6,800 in prize money was claimed during the spring season as the UK’s best battled it out live on NSE’s Twitch channel. Shellzz wins 2020/21 ePremier League on penalties for Manchester City

Manchester City FIFA player Shaun ‘Shellzz’ Springette has won the 2020/21 ePremier League (ePL) after a tense grand final. Shellzz won the first leg 4-2, but Leeds United’s Olle ‘Ollelito’ Arbin took the second leg 3-1, making the final score tied 5-5, taking the final to extra time. Ollelito took the lead at the start of extra time, but Shellzz levelled things up to make it 6-6 and take the game to penalties.
