sOAZ and UK coach Mora join Wave Esports in DACH Prime League

Experienced French League of Legends player Paul ‘sOAZ’ Boyer has joined Austrian organisation Wave Esports in Division 1 of the DACH Prime League. The top-laner is joined by Swedish support player Andreas ‘Adept’ Blikfeldt, who has previously played in the UK/Ireland/Nordics NLC with NVision, as well as Moroccan jungler Salah ‘Mirai’ Eddine Lmimouni, German mid-laner Malik ‘Xoura’ Dönmez and Austrian ADC Jakob ‘Bung’ Gramm. Grassroots Esports Fund announced by Challengermode and Opera GX: $30,000 in prize pool funding available to grassroots tournament organisers in the UK, US and Germany

Esports tournament platform Challengermode has teamed up with web browser Opera GX to create what it claims is the world’s first grassroots esports fund. The aim is to ‘accelerate the growth’ of small emerging esports organisers – so communities and tournaments run primarily by volunteers on a small scale aimed at the semi-professional or lower skill levels. The fund is focused on reaching players in the UK, Germany and the US, but organisations worldwide can apply. The Bus lets you drive round a simulated Berlin now

As the sort of virtual tourist who plays American Truck Simulator largely for sightseeing, I am well up for the early access launch of The Bus yesterday. The bus-driving sim boasts of being set in a 1:1 scale version of Berlin, a city I’ve never visited but heard a lot about. So please be patient, passengers, as we go on a necessary detour around my collection of Google Maps pins. Roadworks, you know. Swans nesting in the traffic lights, or something.
