Sjokz returns to CSGO to host PGL European RMR with James Banks

Two popular esports hosts are teaming up – Belgian esports host Eefje ‘Sjokz’ Depoortere and British host James Banks will work on the PGL European RMR (Regional Major Rankings) event. Sjokz, who is more known for her League of Legends work in the European LEC and beyond, has got involved in CSGO in the past, including the Blast Premier/Pro Series events a few years ago. The League of Legends Amazon European (EU) Masters is around the corner once more, and it’s got the community talking about the different qualification slots in each region. The EU Masters brings together the best teams from across the different European Regional Leagues (ERLs), including France’s LFL, Spain’s Superliga, DACH’s Prime League, the UK/Ireland/Nordics NLC and more. Each ERL has a different number of slots for teams to progress to the EU Masters, which takes place twice per year. UK esports organisation MNM Gaming are continuing to add to their impressive history in Rainbow Six Siege, this time with a top showing in the European Challenger League. MNM have progressed through to the Siege European League 2021 promotion/relegation tournament, where they will face relegated side Team Secret, who finished ninth in the most recent European League, and another team from the Challenger League to be confirmed. Riot announces more changes to League of Legends European Regional Leagues, with academy teams affected and plans for new pro-am tournaments

Riot Games has today revealed more specific details around its upcoming changes to League of Legends European Regional Leagues (ERLs), including the NLC for teams in the UK, Ireland and Nordics. Competition formats are being standardised across the different leagues, new pro-am tournaments are being added and there’s a rule change affecting academy teams, among other announcements. All ERLs will host their own pro-am tournaments from 2022 onwards. Fnatic and Team Liquid qualify for Valorant Masters LAN in Iceland

What’s been a top weekend for UK esports so far is just getting better and better. Two Valorant esports teams featuring a host of UK talent have qualified for the world’s first international Valorant LAN. Team Liquid and Fnatic will be the two European representatives at the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2021: Stage 2 Masters, which takes place in Reykjavík, Iceland from May 24th to 30th. They beat Oxygen Esports and Gambit Esports 2-0 respectively today in the EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals, and will be playing one another in the grand final of that tournament tomorrow (May 2nd).
