Here are the best speedruns you need to check out from Awesome Games Done Quick 2022

AGDQ 2022 is over now, and as ever, the seven-day speedrunning marathon played host to some of the best moments you’re liable to see in gaming this year. Every January for the past few years, some of the most skilled gamers from around the world have grouped together to host an exhibition that shows off just how much you can break some of the best games ever made – if you dedicate enough time, patience and skill to the craft. A blindfolded speedrunner beat Sekiro in two hours on AGDQ

The speedrunning fundraiser festival Awesome Games Done Quick ended in the wee hours on Sunday, with one of its most spectacular runs coming in the final stretch. A speedrunner beat Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice in just over two hours, which frankly is impressive enough to me. It’s the second-highest amount ever raised at the event, right behind last year’s winter marathon, which is pretty good going considering this year was the first fully digital AGDQ. Despite not having a roaring crowd sat behind them, the speedrunners still put on an excellent show from the comfort of their own homes. Here are a few of my fave runs from the week. (more…)

By Dom Peppiatt, Sunday, 13 September 2020 16:01 GMT Awesome Games Done Quick, the charity speedrunning event known more commonly as AGDQ, will once again be held online in 2021.The charity event was moved online this year after complications due to the spread of Covid-19 spurred the organisers to move away from a physical event to safeguard the health of its volunteers.Next year’s charity event will also be broadcasted from a studio next year, with participants performing speedruns from home. With COVID-19 being a continuing concern, for the community’s safety we have decided to move #AGDQ2021 to an online format with the…
