UK esports organisation Team Norse Thunder are in the running for an award in a UK-wide business competition. The org are up for the StartUp Awards’ Social Enterprise Award, a category that recognises “new businesses that give back, enrich communities, and make a contribution to wider society”. Inscryption wins the IGF Grand Prize and GDC Game Of The Year Award 2022

Last night, RPS’ Bestest Best game of 2021 Inscryption won the Seumus McNally Grand Prize at the Independent Games Festival Awards, confirming that once again, we are correct about everything. If that wasn’t enough, though, an hour later, Inscryption then won the Game Of The Year award at the Game Developers Choice Awards. TommyInnit, Tyler1 and Jacksepticeye pick up wins at the Streamer Awards 2022

UK and Ireland content creators were recognised at the 2022 Streamer Awards this weekend, with TommyInnit and Jacksepticeye picking up awards. British streamer TommyInnit, one of the fastest-growing Twitch streamers of last year, was awarded Best Minecraft streamer, while Irish streamer Jacksepticeye won Best Philanthropic Streamer, awarded for contributing to philanthropic causes by hosting charity streams, events, spreading awareness and other such initiatives. Morgan Ashurst wins Esports Impact award at 2022 MCV/Develop Women in Games Awards

British marketing specialist Morgan Ashurst has been awarded the Esports Impact award at the 2022 MCV/Develop Women in Games Awards this evening. Morgan, who most recently worked as head of marketing at the British Esports Association, where she has worked for three years, is about to start a new role to be announced soon. She also has a raft of prior experience in esports having worked at Riot Gaming and Fierce PC, and competed in Call of Duty as a pro gamer.
