Vexed Gaming acquires US organisation Mock-It Esports, returns to Halo with all-UK roster

UK-based esports organisation Vexed Gaming has today announced the acquisition of US-based organisation Mock-It Esports and all its assets for an undisclosed fee. The move means that all of Mock-It’s operations and branding will cease to exist – and will instead be absorbed into the Vexed Gaming ecosystem. As part of this acquisition, Vexed has also acquired and agreed terms with Mock-It’s competitive EU-based all-UK Halo Infinite roster, which will play under the Vexed banner for future tournaments. Gfinity acquires Rainbow Six esports news site SiegeGG

London-based esports business Gfinity has today announced the acquisition of SiegeGG, a well-known Rainbow Six Siege esports news and stats website. SiegeGG Corporation, which runs Siege.gg, has become part of the Gfinity Digital Media group. The acquisition gives Gfinity ownership of the underlying methodology and technology used to develop SiegeGG’s statistical analysis, which the company will be able to extend across other game titles. Gfinity will also assume ownership of the Siege.gg website, with access to its audience, currently delivering 1m page views per month, alongside nearly 100,000 Twitter followers. Riot Games parent company Tencent is set to purchase one of the UK’s well-known game development studios. Chinese gaming giant Tencent has made a bid worth almost £1bn to acquire Sumo Group, which owns Atomhawk, Pipeworks Studios and Secret Mode, as well as Sumo Digital, which consists of several UK studios including Sumo Nottingham and Sumo Sheffield.
