Astralis part ways with MagiFelix

Astralis mid-laner Carl Felix ‘MagiFelix’ Boström has left the LEC League of Legends team. The organisation announced today that the Swedish player’s contract will not be extended. According to the global contract database, MagiFelix’s contract was due to expire on November 15th 2021. Astralis signed MagiFelix earlier this year and went on to finish eighth in the Summer 2021 LEC season, with 7 wins and 11 losses, the same record as Excel Esports, who also missed out on the Summer 2021 LEC playoffs. CSGO WePlay Academy League Season 2 details revealed

Some of the world’s top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) organisations will see their academy rosters do battle once again in the WePlay Academy League. Season 2 of the league will start on September 27th 2021. It will kick off with a group stage, with two groups adopting a GSL format. The strongest team from each group will proceed to the double-elimination playoffs, while the teams which take the last place in their respective groups will be eliminated from the competition. UK-based organisation Guild Esports has announced the signing of an all-women Valorant team. The new team, Guild X, comprises Vivian Mae Schilling ‘Roxi’ (DE), Yağmur Gündüz ‘Smurfette’ (TUR), Anastasiya Rival’evna ‘Glance’ (RUS), Benfakir Sophia ‘Kim’ (FRA) and team captain Klaudia Beczkiewicz ‘Cinnamon’ (USA). All five players, who previously competed as Project X, have signed one-year contracts with an option to renew for another year. They will receive an annual salary and performance incentives.
